This form has scripts that will allow you to convert HTML/JavaScrip into a External JavaScript, and will also give you the script code to paste into all your other documents in which you wish to reuse that HTML/JavaScrip. You will have to:

  1. Convert the HTML/JavaScrip.

  2. Copy the Generated JavaScript Code and save it into your website (without the script tags around it).

  3. Copy the script code that is for pasting into your other web pages (with the script tags around it) and start using it wherever you would like the HTML to be reused.

When you change the HTML file (that you have kept on your own computer) that is reused in other portions of your website, you then will re-convert it to a JavaScript and upload the JavaScript file to your website again. You do not need to change the script code that is pasted into each web page.

Pick a External JavaScript file name

File name, or leave as the default (you will upload the script to your website with this name):
Be sure to include in the filename the extension of .js

 

2. This is Your External JavaScript Code
Save as name.js


What is generated in the above form is what you will be copy/cut and pasted into a editpad and saved as whatever name you used in the "File Name". You need to save it as a .js file and then upload it your directory.

 

3. Include script

What is generated below you need to copy and paste anywhere you want the HTML file to appear on your webpage(s). Mostly this will be used for information that will be going into the <BODY> section of your document. In other words, this belongs in each of your web pages where you want to insert the contents of the HTML file.
